Yesterday night Red Herring announced that Flogs.com International, a provider of an innovative digital calendar service, has been awarded the prestigious Red Herring 100 Europe Award in Paris. The Red Herring Award lists the top 100 innovative private companies selected out of more than 500 cutting edge start-ups from across Europe. Winning this highly acclaimed international award is a significant achievement for the Dutch start-up company, which has recently opened their office in New York and is soon to open new offices in Sao Paulo.
Toon Timmermans, CEO of Flogs.com International says: “Winning The Red Herring 100 Europe Award is a confident vote of trust of Red Herring’s editors in the Flogs.com concept.” Timmermans expects the award will open up new international opportunities for Flogs: “Venture Capitalists from all over the world use the Red Herring lists as a trusted source for identifying the most promising innovative companies.”
Earlier this week almost 200 finalists presented the vision of their company for the final award round. Winners of the list were analyzed in various elements such as financial performance, quality of management, technological innovation, execution of strategy and integration into their respective industries. Every year Red Herring’s editors select the top 100 innovative private companies of Europe. Former winners of the international award include Google, Yahoo!, Skype and eBay.
During the final presentation round, Flogs.com voiced its ambition to progress from offering a ‘service’ to offering an all round ‘event experience’. Flogs.com is currently developing several tools to realize this ambition. This week Flogs.com launched one of these tools: Hybrid Sync. This renewed tool enables Flogs.com users to add an event and calendar to several devices and platforms with a single click of a button.
